slacka...

okay so I've been a blog slacker. So here's what's been going on in wedding planning world...

I made boutonnieres.

I made little stickers with 2 birds and our wedding date to go on these wooden spoons that David's ice cream (in lieu of groom's cake) will be eaten with.

rehearsal dinner invites!

wedding invites! signed, sealed AND delivered!!

You know I love the wedding invites already and you told me about the boutineers (so cute).

Your little spoons are so creative and way to go on the rehearsal dinner invite. How flipping cute. I love them. The font, the off-centerness, the paper and the pendants....it all looks great. Can't wait to get mine!

About Dave and Al

Dave and Al met in Montgomery, Alabama at a mutual friend's home. Dave was visiting town for the weekend and Al was living there at the time running her own embroidery business. There was an instant connection as Dave charmed Al with his natural good humor and Al enchanted Dave with her nice smile, sassy attitude and retro hat. Dave decided to come back to town the following weekend to take Al to dinner, and they were like two peas in a pod.

Lots of time passed, and their relationship grew stronger. Al moved to Birmingham and made a career change. Then soon after, David made a career change.

Then more time passed...

Then even more time..........

And then just a little more....

Five years, five months, and two days... David finally proposed during one of Al and Dave's runs. Completely shocked and starting to hold on to the notion of eternal dating, Al enthusiastically accepted. Now on to wedding planning for a fantastic life together filled with laughs, smiles, sassiness and retro hats!
